R&F: OK, action…and the questions are legion…where does this disc come from? How was the idea born? Who’s behind it? Your own bands, what do they think about it?
Miles: It makes a lot of questions!
Alex: It’s jostling at the gate!
Miles: Make a choice in your questions please. (general laughter)
R&F: OK…your turn
Miles: Once upon a time…
Alex: Oh, you’re starting from there?
Miles: From the beginning of our romance, yes.
Alex: It’s been years…Miles played in his band, The Rascals and I played in my band, Arctic Monkeys. We did a first tour together. And there, something happened, We became pals. Miles and his band did tours with us again, A friendship is born and we told ourselves…after all we’ve done this project that…
Miles: Someday…
Alex: That’s it, Someday we’ll make an album together.
R&F: So, what’s the name of the band?
Miles: It’s the first interview we’re giving. For us, it’s important to tell you because we haven’t told it to any journalists yet. You’ll be the first one to know, It’s going to be called…
Alex: It’s called The Last Shadow Puppets
R&F: Wow!
Alex: I quite like first-times.

- The Last Shadow Puppets talk about the last night of two-week recording at the Black Box Studios in France
- Miles: We just danced around for about five hours.
- Alex: It were a huge night, that.
- Around 4 a.m the four of them (Alex, Miles, James Ford and engineer Jimmy Robertson) headed for the surrounding hills.
- Miles: We were all sat looking at the stars. We were like "Wooooow!"
- Alex: I took a Polaroid photo, The caption underneath it says, "Don't worry, there's a doctor across the road."

I know, I’m obsessed with comparing TLSP to The Beatles and I’m sorry. but truly, When I saw this photo, I was like “Alex or George?!” for the first milliseconds. It’s like Alex is smiling, not George. is it just me or there’s really something going on?
